I recommend the "THETAXBOOK" as a reference source. This upcoming season will mark the fourth season I've used this wonderful reference. It is published by Tax Materials, Inc.
The material is displayed in several sections that are set in tab format. Plus it has some quick references such as tax rate schedules that I find always come in handy.

Enrolled Agents are required to pass a written exam and obtain at least 75 hours of continuing education over a three year period. Enrolled agents are allowed to represent clients at all levels of the IRS. Their specific training makes them a wise choice for individual filing.)
