Nice Christmas. I hope you had one also and are ready for a great 2015.

Looks like the tax extension is going to happen. Shame we couldn't known earlier. It really did hamper our tax planning for 2015.

ACA is going to be interesting. With FSA and HSA increasing in my area, healthcare and insurance are starting to be hot button.

Let me know what how your season is going and maybe we can share some of our concerns.

Not quite revved up for upcoming tax season although I'm starting to think more about it. Getting a few phone calls.

I am current on my CPE.

Ouch, It has been way too long. I need to get back to this blogging.
Tax season was borderline brutal this past season. Well, it plus the fact that we had one of the toughest winters in twenty years.

I had a few challenges this year. But managed to get through with a minimum/maximum bit of stress.

I didn't have that many extensions but do have several multiple filings and some amended returns to take care.

Oh, yes, continuing education. I have a couple of courses to complete.

Later.

Early August

Seems to be pretty early but I'm already having thoughts about next tax season. PTIN renewal in October and my EA enrollment is due to begin in Novemeber.

Two sons birthdays this month, William and Wilson.

Time stands still for no one.

May 29,2013

I had a call about setting up a PLLC. Client needed  to establish himself with a licensing board. I instructed him to set up the corporation with the Secretary of State. I also advised him of the need for an operating agreement.

He as been filing a schedule C. I advised him of the other options. One step at a time.

From a historical aspect I gave a tour at the Old State Capitol. One couple from Portland, Oregon and one from San Antonia. They were very attentive and interested.

Taxes and the end of the season.

Still decompressing but nearly there. I still have a few extensions. I need to bill some late paying clients. This morning I had three  calls from clients all before eight-thirty. Nothing urgent. One regarding travel, one on capital gain and the other on the infamous W-4.

I finished a correspondence course and picked up a few more education credits. I find myself reading more and from various tax sites on the internet. A great deal of information out there.

Following the IRS non profit scandal. This will go on for a while. There is much hay to be made by Obama's opponents.
